China is the nearest and friendliest country to Pakistan but let’s see how easy it is to get a China visa. China is the world’s largest country according to the population. The capital of China is Beijing. China is the fastest growing country and it is can to be the upcoming superpower. China is the point of attraction for the whole world because of its trade.
Types of China Visa
China visa is a permission granted by the Chinese visa establishment for visit through the China. The Chinese visa has 8 different types as follows:
L Visa: This visa is issued to the people for tourism, trip to visit family or relative and other personal affairs.
F Visa: This type of visa is issued to the people for business, lecture, inspection, scientific technologist, and intern practice.
X Visa: This visa is issued to the students for study or intern practice who are staying for more than 6 months.
Z Visa: This is a work or employment visa which is issued for employment, academic exchange and associated spouse.
C Visa: This visa is issued to the crew members of global flights, ships, and trains.
J Visa:
J-1: This type of visa is issued to the overseas resident reporters and their spouse and children.
J-2: This is issued to the foreign journalists for the temporary coverage in China.
D Visa: Issued to those who are going to settle in permanently in China.
G Visa: This is a transit visa issued to the people who are going to other countries in transit of China or staying and going out of the airport for more than 24 hours.
Documentation Required for the Visa
Following are the documentation required for the China visa.
- Police Character Certificate
- NTN (National Tax Number)
- Bank Statement
- Purpose of Visit written on the Company Letterhead
- Passport
- Membership of Chamber of Commerce
Police Character Certificate
Police Character certificate is only needed if you are applying for China Visa for the first time. You can get the character certificate from the police department. In order to get a police character certificate, you need to submit the following documents.
- 2 Application forms
- 2 Passport size photographs with light blue background
- 1 copy of CNIC attested by gazetted officer
- 1 passport copy attested by gazetted officer
- Affidavit of Rs.50/- attested by Oath Commissioner
You can easily get the application forms from the clerks sitting outside the court. These clerks even fill out the forms for you and help you to complete the documentation with a minimum charge. Then you have to attest the copies of your documents from the gazetted officer and submit it to the police help center. After the submission, a person from your nearest police office will come to your house for verifications and within 7 days you will get your character certificate. After that, attest the character certificate from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
NTN (National Tax Number)
Having the NTN means you pay tax to the Government which is a good thing. If you don’t have the NTN you can easily apply through the FBR (Federal Board of Revenue) website.
Bank Statement
Bank statement of 5 to 6 Lakh of 6 months is required from your bank account for the China Visa. The running cash of around 6 lakh should be in your account.
Purpose of Visit
Purpose of visit should be written on the company’s letterhead. Write clear and brief about your visit to China why you are going there and what is the purpose of your stay. These things should be clear in the letter.
Passport
Original passport with at least 6 months validity is required and there should be minimum two blank visa pages on the passport on which Chinese embassy paste their visa and for entry and exit stamp.
Membership of Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Membership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry is must for the China Visa.
Visa Application
Visa application can be obtained from the official website of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan. You can apply yourself for the visa in Chinese embassy but for that you will need an invitation letter from the person or the company you are going to visit in China. Invitation letter is must without that you won’t get visa.

Apply for the China Visa through the Chamber of Commerce and Industry
You can apply for the visa through the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. All you have to do is submit the above mentioned documents to the chamber and they do the rest. Chamber of Commerce offers visa twice a year for the Canton Trade Fair held in China. This is the largest trade fair for vender and buyers which offers a complete variety of almost everything. Chamber of commerce applies for the visa on your name on his behalf when you submit all the documents. After applying they will tell you the date of your interview with the Chinese embassy. The interview timing of the embassy is 9 – 12 AM. After your interview, you will get the approval for the visa if all your documents are valid and authentic.
Note: All your documents should be authentic and valid otherwise your visa could be rejected.
